Directors and Staff

Fun, safety, camper care – it all starts at the top

Meet the people to whom Greenwood Trails families entrust their children:

Owen Langbart

Owen Langbart, Owner/Director

“I love camp. It is absolutely the perfect place for young people to discover who they are and realize their potential.”
Owen strongly believes in the value of the camp experience, especially for today’s kids who need to get “unplugged”, make friends and be happy. He is an American Camp Association visitor who assists other camps with the accreditation process. He earned a BA in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and has spent over 20 years as a camp professional.

Kate Tucci

Kate Tucci, Assistant Director

“Camp is the best because kids are comfortable being themselves while learning new things and having fun.”
Kate is an ACA Certified Camp Director with experience in both day and resident programs. She has worked at the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education and is currently taking recreation, health and physical education classes at Heidelberg University. Kate lives in Ohio in the off-season with her husband, Chris, and their awesome son, Hyatt.

Chris Tucci

Chris Tucci, Boys’ Head Counselor

“Both boys and girls should play in the mud, build forts and play outside. Kids should be kids and just have fun.”
Chris is a professor at Heidelberg University who enjoys playing basketball and teaching his son to build bird feeders of pinecones and peanut butter. Chris has been a Camp Director for 10 years and has presented at ACA conferences on pop culture’s impact on youth and the use of improvisation in staff training.

Andrea Feldman

Andrea Feldman, Girls’ Head Counselor

“Camp is a great environment for kids to learn teamwork and respect for each other. Camp is like a giant sleep over, but even more fun!”
Andrea has been a camper since she was three. Then she became a counselor and a group leader at Merrick Woods. She is a sports fanatic who understands the great impact camp can have on a child’s life. Andrea brings energy and infectious enthusiasm to camp and to her position as an educator in the New York City school system.
